Pokémon software has shipped over 440 million units to date

Since its 1996 launch, the trading card game series has had over 43 billion cards produced

Today The Pokémon Company has revealed that all related software of its franchise has shipped over 440 million units.

The game series launched in 1996 in Japan and in 1998 in the US, the company said that its available in nine different languages.

The firm also shared details for both the trading card game and TV series.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) launched in in Japan during 1996 and the US in 1998.

To date, the Pokémon TCG has had over 43.2 billion cards produced and the game is available in 13 languages. Its also been sold in 77 areas globally the company said.

Additionally, as of March 2022, the animated series has been aired in 192 areas throughout the world.

The Pokémon TV show began broadcasting in Japan during 1997 and debuted in the US in 1998.
