Homeworld 3 slides into 2023

Announced in 2019, the space RTS is delayed as Blackbird Interactive intends to deliver it in its highest quality

Today Blackbird Interactive announced that its space-theme RTS title Homeworld 3 will be launching during the first half of 2023.

The announcement was made via the title's official Twitter account.

In the statement the developer said in part, "Delivering Homeworld 3 at the highest quality is the top priority for Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive because we recognize the special place this series holds in the heart so players."

The title was announced during PAX in 2019 and Blackbird Interactive announced it would crowdfund the title for just $1.

Gearbox said that it launched the campaign to get series fans invested in the project.

The crowdfunding initiative eventually went on to amass $1.5 million when it ended in September 2019.

During E3 2021, Gearbox said that Homeworld 3 would launch during Q4 2022.
