Annapurna appoints new hires to internal studio

Company taps senior staff behind Solar Ash to work on unannounced project

Indie publisher Annapurna Interactive has unveiled several new additions to its internal development team.

The studio has named Chelsea Hash as game director, Brett Lajzer as technical director, Evan Hembacher as senior producer, Cosimo Galluzi as art director, and Nate Grove as environmental artist.

All of the above previously worked on Heart Machine's Solar Ash, which Annapurna published last year. The team is currently working on a new, unannounced project.

"We've worked closely with the people at Annapurna Interactive for years and this was an exciting next step for us to be able to integrate with the team," said Hash. "We are working toward a special new experience and look forward to revealing more details."

Annapurna announced the creation of the studio back in October 2020, but didn't reveal any details about its debut project at the time.

At the time, Annapurna president Nathan Gary said: "We've had the immense honour of working with some of the most talented independent game creators in the world. Many of us came from an internal development background and are excited to make this a part of Annapurna Interactive moving forward."
