Supercell acquires majority stake in Trailmix

The mobile giant has invested $60 million in the London studio

Supercell has acquired a majority stake in London-based mobile studio Trailmix.

As reported by Pocket Gamer, this follows a $60 million investment in the company, which released its debut title Love & Pies last September.

Trailmix will continue to operate independently, with the same executive team, and the focus will remain on Love & Pies for the time being.

Trailmix has been backed by Supercell since its inception in 2018, with an initial $4.2 million investment at the time.

Co-founder and CEO Carolin Krenzer told Pocket Gamer: "The relationship with Supercell has been one of mutual respect and mutual learning over the last few years.

"There is so much knowledge exchange between Supercell and its investee companies -- they have built such an incredible portfolio of companies and we're looking forward to continue working very closely with all of them."
