Ubisoft announces Ubisoft Forward on July 12

Publisher to host digital, "E3-style" showcase

Ubisoft has announced it will hold an "E3-style showcase" called Ubisoft Forward on July 12, 2020.

The digital conference will include news about Ubisoft titles, including reveals of new games.

Ubisoft is but one of several publishers and platform-holders that have announced plans for separate, standalone digital events following the cancellation of E3 2020 due to COVID-19, including EA and Microsoft -- both of which are having events in June.

Other publishers such as Square Enix have opted to join with other media outlets and personalities holding showcases -- including IGN, GameSpot, and Geoff Keighley.

Still others, such as Bethesda and Nintendo, have said they will not hold showcases around the normal E3 window in June, but have not yet given detail on if they will, like Ubisoft, hold an event later in the summer.
