Creative Assembly GameJam returns to EGX Rezzed

Guardian-sponsored contest will be part of GamesIndustry Fair

EGX Rezzed, which is taking place at London's Tobacco Dock between March 12 and 14, will see the return of the Creative Assembly Game Jam, in partnership with the GamesIndustry Fair and UK national newspaper the Guardian.

The two-day event will take place on the Friday and Saturday of the show, with teams developing on the Friday and demonstrating their efforts to attendees in the GamesIndustry Fair area on the Saturday. The games will also be livestreamed via the event's official Twitch channel before being presented to a panel of industry professionals for judging.

"We're partnering with Guardian to elevate the profile of the Game Jam among developers and the public alike," said Creative Assembly's Sophie Malik. "We want to show their massive global audience how games can not only be entertaining, but a powerful creative force in the world."

If you're interested in taking part, there's still time to register, either as an individual or as a team of up to five. Just fill in the form here and await further instructions. Applications close on Tuesday March 3, with the participants being announced on Friday March 6. All successful applicants will receive complimentary tickets to the show.

Also featured in the GamesIndustry Fair will be the BAFTA and UKIE careers bar, as announced yesterday. All attendees are welcome to come along to receive, or even impart, advice and ideas on how to get into the industry.
